Job Description
Bonnell Aluminum is a leading manufacturer in the aluminum extrusion industry. Our company-wide approach to LEAN manufacturing drives our team to seek new methods for combining aluminum extrusion operations, simplifying tasks, and minimizing material handling. Our internship program will introduce students to hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, engineering, automation, LEAN process, and robotics.
Internships will take place during June and July. This is a paid internship.
Your Future Role•Assist with Engineering Projects: Interns will be assigned applicable tasks and projects under the supervision of a senior engineer.
•Collaborate with Team Members: Interns will work with other team members to achieve project goals.
•Data Analysis and Interpretation: Interns will be required to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to projects.
•Interact with Other Teams: Intern will be required to communicate and collaborate with other departments including Maintenance, Extrusion, Quality, Packing, Shipping, and Fabrication.
•Documentation and Reporting: Interns will be responsible for documenting project progress and preparing reports for supervisors.
•Learn and Apply Best Practices: Interns will learn and apply industry best practices and standards (e.g. LEAN and Training Within Industry).
•Participate in Team Meetings: Interns will participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
•Reporting and Presentation: Interns will be required to provide a presentation outlining their experience upon completion of the Internship.
What You'll Need
•Academic Background: Requires possession of a degree in an engineering field or be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in engineering.
•Technical Skills: Proficient in relevant software (e.g. CAD, Python, Excel, Word, AI, etc.).
•Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills.
•Problem-Solving Skills: Possess ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
•Teamwork Skills: Possess ability to work collaboratively with others and in teams.
•Organizational Skills: Be able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
Academic And Administrative Requirements
•Academic Requirement: Must obtain at least a 2.776 GPA or better in all classes.
•Grades / Transcript: Submit Official Grades / Transcript to Human Resources.
•Miscellaneous: Eligibility to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship.

Bonnell Aluminum is North America’s premier manufacturer of custom aluminum extrusions. We manufacture mill finish, anodized, painted and thermally broken aluminum extrusions. Our press size ranges from 1,550 to 5,500-tons.
We produce large diameter extrusions requiring high-quality surface finish up to 16 inches in circle size.
