Entry level:
Training to perform technical tasks of a general nature requiring use and application of standard engineering or scientific methods and tools. To assist Senior Engineers in Project Development.
Job Responsibilities

•Can influence peers on some technical issues
•Familiarization with current standards, systems, and software used to generate designs (potentially CAD work involved)
•Schedule assigned tasks and agree timing
•Accountable for meeting schedule completion dates or for providing timely feedback when dates cannot be met
•Contributes to project report
•Presents to a project team
•Developing oral and written technical communication skills
•Interacts with project team members to resolve day-to-day issues
•Fundamental knowledge required to complete basic engineering tasks. Basic work process knowledge from work experience and/or education
•Understands production processes used at site. Fundamental understanding of products within business unit
•Understands supplier and customer processes
•Use engineering knowledge and experience to resolve technical problems assigned by the business unit
•Can apply existing technical methodologies
•Can identify new methods and processes
•Basic knowledge of EEAC and understanding of different businesses
•Successfully completes engineering tasks assigned for that business unit
•Technical contribution to project tasks
•Assigned a mentor/coach to develop technical capabilities
•Customer interaction: Typically accompanied with a higher level Engineer. Generally participates as an observer
Required Skills / Knowledge
•Knowledge of company’s policies and procedures
•Knowledge of computer software (MS Office/ internet / website navigation)
•Knowledge of repair station processes
•Knowledge of shop equipment and processes
•Knowledge of special processes such as TIG welding, plasma spraying, conventional/vacuum heat-treating, brazing, machining, electrical harness repairs and heavy industrial repairs on gas turbine engines
•Knowledge and basic understanding of super alloy metallurgy
•Working knowledge of overhaul manuals
•Working knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and NDE processes
•Knowledge and understanding of jet engine fundamentals and the ability to comprehend turbine engine component blueprints
•Knowledge of computer software (MS Office/Solidworks/CAD Systems/ internet websites navigation)
•Skilled in operating computers and office equipment (fax machines, copiers, printers, scanners, digital cameras, etc.)
•Skilled in dealing with customers and OEMs
•Skilled in analyzing and solving problems
•Skilled in paying attention to detail
•Skilled in oral and written communication (English)
•Ability to generate procedures and instructions that are easy to follow
•Ability to work with confidential information
•Ability to manage multiple priorities
•Ability to read, write, speak and understand English per FAA Regulations
•Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral)
•Ability to follow written and oral instructions
•Ability to process data into useful information

•2nd year or higher education study for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
