Sandvik Mining has an opportunity for an Engineering Coordinator in its Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida (greater Gainesville area).

YOUR MISSION
We are seeking an Engineering Coordinator who will play a vital role in supporting both the operational efficiency of the engineering department and the facilitation of key external engagements.
Approximately 50% of the role focuses on coordinating essential support functions, including processing design deviation requests from suppliers, compiling and reporting monthly engineering hours to the finance team, managing Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool installations and maintenance, and overseeing IT hardware and office supply orders.
The remaining 50% of the role is dedicated to administrative support which includes making arrangements to host visitors from other Sandvik divisions and coordinating meetings and workshops held at the Rotary Drilling factory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering Support (50%)
•Process design deviation requests submitted by suppliers by coordinating with engineering, sourcing and procurement team
•Prepare and submit monthly engineering hour reports to the Finance department
•Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CAD/PLM tools
•Train new joiners on PLM tools as needed (engineering and other departments)
•Coordinate ordering of IT hardware and office supplies to meet departmental needs
•Create process documents in the Integrated Management System (IMS) with the support from engineering management and maintain the same for ISO audit purposes
•Support corrective and preventive actions to comply with quality standards
•Report engineering hours split based on categories every month
•Work with HR Team to support recruitment and onboarding of all new department personnel (employees and contractors), guiding hires on company ways of working including assuring compliance and systems training is completed in timely manner
•Support creating and maintaining engineering staffing profiles in PPM (Project and Portfolio management) tool
•Other duties as assigned
Visitor Arrangements, Event Coordination, and Other Administrative Support (50%)
•Organize and facilitate visitors from other Sandvik divisions and tours of the Rotary factory by arranging needed supplies, logistics, food and beverages
•Plan and manage logistics, supplies and related items primarily for large-scale meetings, workshops, and engineering events
•Provide supplemental assistance to the management team with various administrative tasks
YOUR PROFILE
•2+ years in administrative capacity, preferably in an Engineering Department
•High School Diploma or GED
•Strong proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Teamcenter, and other engineering computer programs
•Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people in multiple departments across all levels
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to take initiative and be self-directed
•Flexible and adaptable to change
