Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a PGS Engineering Associate.
SUMMARY
The PGS Engineering Associate supports the development, evaluation, and improvement of gas turbine service methods. This role provides assistance to management, engineering, and technical staff in the areas of design, manufacturing, and service capabilities for power generation equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support Engineering team members in root cause investigations, including fracture surface analysis, thermal system modeling, and failure investigations.
•Develop and document work procedures for manufacturing and repair processes.
•Apply corrective actions to address nonconformances or root causes.
•Perform data analysis related to component life extension, FMEA, and degradation evaluations.
•Create and publish technical reports and documentation in Product Data Management Systems.
•Assist in task tracking, project management, and reporting to leadership.
•Collaborate with design and planning teams on service product applications.
•Support vendor evaluations for equipment, materials, and parts based on specifications and quality standards.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education & Experience:
Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university.
Language Skills:
•Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and technical content.
•Ability to write and present information effectively in group and one-on-one settings.
Mathematical Skills:
•Ability to perform basic arithmetic and apply concepts such as ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
Reasoning Ability:
•Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram instructions.
•Ability to address problems involving multiple variables in standardized contexts.
•Capability to logically summarize inspection results and work scopes.
Computer Skills:
•Proficiency in internet applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
•Coding experience in Python, MATLAB, or C++ is preferred.
