Bear Metal Works is currently seeking an Laser engineer/Project Manager to oversee the execution and management of custom metal fabrication projects. Our custom work environment creates an ever-changing day-to-day work experience. We design, fabricate, and install, unique projects across the United States and our capabilities are expanding!

Responsibilities:
•Utilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements.
•Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
•Program and maintain current file revisions of all client part.
•Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts using Solidworks/AutoCAD software.
•Work with clients’ engineers.
•Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing.
•Make machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost-effective manner.
•Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets.
•Maintains the Laser and reports any maintenance issues
•Consults with management to resolve manufacturing or assembly problems.
•Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of production when and where needed; putting in effort to learn the laser operations
•Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
•AutoCAD/Solidworks Experience
•Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback. DETAIL ORIENTED!
