Unit Number - Unit Name: 59510 - CAPITAL PROJECTS
- Responsible for providing engineering and construction management assistance and support with small to medium scale construction projects at electrical generation stations, water systems and other Santee Cooper asset sites.
- This position acts primarily in a supportive role to higher career level engineers and project management positions.
- Individual shall develop their knowledge of project construction, scheduling and understanding of plant equipment, processes and systems.
Essential Job Tasks:
- Research and provide technical information as required to assist in development of technical specifications in adherence to local, state and federal codes for small to medium size projects.
- Assist in the preparation of calculations, designs, budgets, and schedules for small to medium size projects.
- Monitor, observe and report progress of activities on small to medium sized construction projects.
- Participate in project meetings and cooperatively work with plant personnel and others within Santee Cooper organization pertaining to assigned projects or as requested.
- Assist the generating stations and regional water systems by providing engineering support on O&M and specialized projects as requested.
- Prepare requisitions and make award recommendations for small sized projects and equipment purchases.
- Produce CAD drawings as needed and incorporate red-lined corrections on as-built construction drawings to be placed in ECM.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces.
- Background in controls (DCS, PLC) preferred.
Compensation Information
Salary range:
Engineer I$74,010 - $92,500 (min.-mid.)
- Will consider Engineer II
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school and two years of experience.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces.
- Background in controls (DCS, PLC) preferred.
Compensation Information
Salary range:
Engineer II$82,520 - $103,140 (min.-mid.)
- Will consider Engineer III
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited school and five years of experience.
- Fundamentals of Engineering registration required.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces.
- Background in controls (DCS, PLC) preferred.
Compensation Information
Salary range:
Engineer III$91,990 - $114,990 (min.-mid.)
