This position will provide technical leadership to the production team. Responsibilities include providing documentation and shop floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment; providing expertise in fan design, machinery, manufacturing processes etc.
Role and Responsibilities
•Define standards and processes for manufacturing in the shop floor
•Document manufacturing processes and work instructions
•Develop new process and workstation designs to reduce cycle time and support lean manufacturing initiatives
•Develop drawings by reverse engineering products for customers at their request
•Maintain Shop Floor Master layout, develop new and adjusted layouts as needed
•Provide Technical support to the Manufacturing organization
•Specify, quote, purchase and install new machinery for the production floor
•Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations
•Develop new blower designs that meet customer specification for size, noise and output
•Works closely with the Quality Manager to determine best methods of testing products before and after assembly
•Assists in the maintenance of equipment on the production floor by providing parts, quotes and other engineering expertise
•Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Education / Experience
•B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree; preferred not required
•In lieu of degree, 5+ years documenting and improving process flows within the manufacturing industry required
