Engineer I

Primary Function

Under general direction, performs professional engineering in the areas of planning, engineering design, construction and operation of the district electrical system, facilities and related projects; or the development and implementation of maintenance of electrical systems and power generation resources; operations regarding engineering functions; and oversees engineering projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or related degree to assigned area and four years’ of professional engineering experience with a power utility.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

Engineer-In-Training Certificate (EIT) is required.

Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.

Other Requirements/Testing

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
