Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

The Emergency Management Administrator is a key position to support the Emergency Management and Security programs at Trans Mountain. The main responsibility of the position is to effectively support the implementation and maintenance of the programs to ensure Trans Mountain complies with the regulations and company policies and procedures. Additionally, this role will collaborate with various departments within Operations Services, including Compliance, Training, Health and Safety, and Environment, to provide necessary support as required.

This position will be based at the Calgary Head Office location and will report to the Director, Emergency Management.

Key Responsibilities

- Administrative duties including booking travel, processing expenses, booking meetings, taking meeting minutes, mail/courier and other administrative-type tasks as required for the Emergency Management and Security Departments.

- Budget tracking, and invoice coding/receiving to ensure compliance with internal financial reporting processes in coordination with coordinators and budget analysts.

- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the integrated safety and loss management system including the development of tools/forms/templates required ensuring the emergency tool kit is updated and response ready.

- Support the department in the distribution of plans, processes and procedures as required by each program.


Qualifications And Professional Experience

- Post Secondary Business, Administration, Emergency Management preferred

- 6+ years’ experience in an Administrative/Analyst role.

- Extensive experience utilizing the Microsoft Suite of applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, D365 and data management systems.

- General understanding of pipeline operations and/or emergency management.

- Ability to synthesize a large amount of data and information and to draft high-quality documents, including the internal and external correspondence.

- Pro-actively identifies potential risks and vulnerabilities and communicates them appropriately.

- Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively.

- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

- Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.

- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Attention to detail is critical with the ability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.
