•We are seeking an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join us in developing and supporting the embedded systems and test infrastructure behind our sensor products.
What will you do?
•Design, develop, and test embedded firmware and user application software to support our sensor products
•Design, develop, and test manufacturing test software used to calibrate and test our products prior to shipment
•Partner up with hardware engineers to define and test interfaces, debug systems, and validate features.
What are we looking for?
Required:
•Proficiency in at least one language such as C, Python, C#
•Results-driven engineering mindset and problem-solving skills
•Strong technical background, attention to detail
•Ability to learn quickly, and work independently
•Comfortable working with hardware and software together
•Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
•Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math field. Degrees could include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Math, or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
•Experience with embedded Linux, Yocto, or Linux device drivers
•Experience with bare-metal firmware development for microcontrollers
•Experience with networks
•C# application development for Windows-based tools
•Understanding of hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO)
•Experience with any microcontrollers, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, serial communication, Subversion, Git, wireless communications, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
•Ability to work with hardware, digital multimeters, bench equipment, test and measurement, PCBs
•Prior work on automated test stations for electronics or sensors
•Knowledge of real-world software development best-practices, software repository systems, and release and testing processes
