Software Engineer is responsible for work related to formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs. Also responsible for devices and/or modifying technology options to solve problems considering technology and limitations.

Essential Duties:

Coordinates the support of users concerning their access to and operation of managed applications.
Maintains line-of-business applications and associated software; Performs upgrades and support requirements; works with vendors and others as a liaison to provide support.
Evaluates computer system capabilities to determine whether changes are necessary and/or feasible and coordinates with appropriate personnel within IT and the users of the application.
Plans and recommends upgrades, expansions and/or modifications to software.
Develops system software documentation. Creates reports with existing software systems.
Provides overall system security and technical input to management regarding security issues.
May perform project management and oversight for the implementation of specialized programs.
Trains users on a variety of applications, products, and services.
Coordinates regularly with managers and users regarding support of all applications. Responds to the needs and questions of users.
Creates reports using SQL and other report writers.
May respond to after-hour system problems.
May consult with other departments on the development and user of applications.
May participate in system administration and act as a project development liaison.
May develop, document and implement policies and procedures for application use.
Performs all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications Education: Required:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year university in a related field or equivalent experience.


Required: Experience:

1-3 years of related experience .


Preferred:

Honorably discharged service veterans.


Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Proficient in Windows-based applications.
Proficient in writing SQL statements to create reports.
Experience with Enterprise level applications.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Knowledge of specialized operating systems and control processes.

Additional Job Requirements:
