We are seeking qualified electrical professionals to join our growing solar installation team. We have multiple openings for Journeyperson Electricians and 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electricians specializing in solar photovoltaic systems installation, maintenance, and operations.

The Opportunity
Our team is growing, and we currently have multiple openings for experienced Electricians and Apprentices to join and help lead our dynamic solar installation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Saskatchewan's growing renewable energy sector while leading and working with our experienced crew in all aspects of the solar installation process. In this role, you will actively assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of both grid-tie, battery backup, and off-grid renewable energy systems consisting of ground-mount, rooftop, residential, and commercial solar PV systems located throughout the greater Saskatoon area and Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities & Duties
All Positions*
•Install, route, and secure electrical components of solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries, combiner boxes, disconnects, and conduit
•Complete AC and DC electrical wiring following local codes, utility requirements, and project design specifications
•Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
•Work safely on roofs and at heights while installing solar panel systems
•Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines
•Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
•Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and inspection reports
Journeyperson Electrician
The Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician will oversee electrical installations, mentor junior apprentices, and ensure safe, efficient deployment of solar energy systems across residential and commercial properties.
•Lead AC/DC electrical installations for solar PV systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and service panel upgrades.
•Review installation plans with team members and ensure safe, efficient installation practices
•Perform final grid interconnection of solar systems, including service panel upgrades, utility meter setups, and sub-panel installations
•Support the mentoring and training of junior electricians or apprentices on-site
•Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and performance
3rd & 4th Year Apprentice Electricians
As senior apprentices, you will work under the guidance of experienced journeyperson electricians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties.
•Assist with the installation of solar panels, racking systems, and electrical components under supervision
•Support the electrical team in mounting solar arrays, routing conduit, and wiring AC/DC components
•Support maintenance of solar systems, including inverter diagnostics and battery replacements
•Assist in warehouse operations, such as inventory management and equipment preparation
•Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Required Qualifications
All Positions*
•Ability to work on rooftops and at heights with fall protection equipment
•Ability to climb ladders and work at heights for several hours
•Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy equipment, materials, and tools (50+ lbs)
•Comfortable working outdoors in various climates and weather conditions
•Adherence to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of PPE
•Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
•Strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
•Valid Class 5 driver's license and comfortable driving with a trailer
•Fall-Arrest/Fall Protection Certification
•Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Journeyperson Electrician
•Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification in Canada (minimum 2 years)
•Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a residential construction electrician
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
•Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and safety practices
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
•Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and manage a team effectively
•Knowledge of renewable energy would complement applicants

3rd & 4th Year Apprentice Electricians
•Currently registered in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program as a 3rd or 4th-year apprentice working toward Red Seal certification
•Previous experience in the residential and commercial construction industry performing electrical work
•Basic understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and residential wiring
•Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and electrical components
Preferred Qualifications (*All Positions):
•Experience in the solar industry or the renewable energy sector
•Knowledge of solar PV systems and installation requirements
•Understanding of energy storage systems and battery technologies
•Fall Protection Training, First Aid certification
