Solar Electrician

Job Overview

Discount Solar solutions is looking for a skilled and dedicated Solar Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential/commercial solar and battery systems. Proficient in residential electrical wiring, transferring loads, DC wiring, conduit bending. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be able to work 40-50hrs a week, work in hot conditions.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair Solar/Battery systems, electrical service panels. Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems. Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all installations. Perform fixture installation including lighting, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Commercial/Residential Electrician or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of PV Storage systems and NEC regulations. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. Ability to work effectively on construction sites, including roofs and elevated platforms. Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
