JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Performs work related to the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of plant equipment as a member of the Integrated Valve Team.
Must be willing to be crossed trained in all aspects of valve repair and diagnostics. Including AOV, MOV, and internal valve repair.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position Desired: Related vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training.Minimum experience required of the position
2 years of electrician experience or 2 years of nuclear experience. Desired: 4 years commercial nuclear experience. Experience in nuclear power plant maintenance.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations. Desired: Ability to make semi-technical calculations involving the electrical area. Ability to disassembly, repair, calibrate, setup, and test valves, actuators, and positioners. Must be knowledgeable in Nuclear power plant maintenance to include: rigging and material handling, electrical terminations, torqueing, diagnostic testing, and valve actuator instrument calibrations. Must have the ability to read prints, verbal and written comprehension, and the ability to troubleshoot and then repair valve equipment.

Candidates must meet or exceed ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978. SBI Section 4.5.3-Maintenance Personnel standard. Individual must also possess the following certification(s) for valve and actuator rebuilds, and diagnostic testing at Level II or Senior level.
