The pay listed ($50.23 per hour) reflects our STARTING PAY only and does not reflect the full range which steps up to $55.81 per hour (top pay typically reached within two years with proven mastery of skills and good performance).

As a Meter & Relay Electrician
, you would perform a variety of electrical work including to install, program, commission, maintain, test, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment on the Central Arizona Project. In-state travel typically from Mondays through Thursdays would be required. A few of your specific main responsibilities would include:
You have the opportunity to learn about and become an industry expert in testing digital protective relays and diagnostic testing of high-voltage power transformers and hydro-electric motors.
Having completed a state or federal certified electrical apprenticeship, OR possessing the equivalent combination of education, related experience and demonstrated ability; PLUS at least three (3) years of journeyman-level work experience in an industrial electrical environment with technical and specialized knowledge is required to be successful in this position. Also, a valid driver's license, good driving record, and a high school diploma (or GED) are required.
