Job Opening: Electrician/Instrument Technician – Grande Prairie, AB

We want someone who thrives in the field, keeps downtime to a minimum, and brings practical expertise to keep our LNG operations running smoothly and safely.
About the Role:
The Electrician/Instrumentation Technician will be based in Grande Prairie, AB, reporting to the Field Services Manager, supporting operations across multiple facilities and project sites. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role, with occasional weekend or after-hours support as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:
What You’ll Need:
•Red Seal Certification as a Journeyperson Electrician (mandatory).
•Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
•Instrumentation certification or strong hands-on experience with control systems preferred.
•Cryogenic or LNG equipment experience is a strong asset.
•High regard for safety and environmental compliance standards.
•Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•Comfort working in remote or field environments with 24/7 operations.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital work order systems.
•Ability to meet all site requirements including pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
What You’ll Do
•Prioritize safety on all work tasks
•Responsible for ensuring, maintaining, and promoting safe & efficient work practices
•Ensures company policy is always followed in accordance with the Company ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System.
•Responsible to report any safety issues, incidents, or gaps in the Quality Management System
•Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical and control systems.
•Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair E&I equipment and components.
•Monitor and maintain compliance with safety codes, standards, and Cryopeak's internal policies.
•Provide field support at LNG plants and project sites, including short-term travel when required.
•Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repairs.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
•Work closely with internal teams to improve reliability, reduce reactive maintenance, and support knowledge retention in-house.
•Uphold and contribute to the continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
