An Electrician who installs new equipment, control panels, monitoring panels, conduit, wiring and connection boxes, per standards. Determines the parts required for proper installation. The Electrician will perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment with voltage ratings up to and including 600 volts. Performs general troubleshooting of motor control panels. Replaces motor starters, breakers, overloads protectors, fuses, relays, relay coils, terminal blocks, and switches. Be able to install panel mounted equipment, mount Din rails and wiring installed components.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical Standards, NEC requirements.
- Ability to perform basic electrical construction.
- Use of pipe threading tools, hand power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to perform the installation, testing and troubleshooting of electric conductors, transformers, relays, circuit breakers and Motor Control Centers, reading and understanding of electrical constructions and electrical control drawings, written and verbal procedures, the use test equipment such digital multimeter, insulation resistance meters/ Meggers, circuit tracers, amp- probes, common electrical tools both handheld powered and mechanical.
· Set-up & initialization of monitoring & control devices
· PLC control systems, programming, integration, installation, upgrade and troubleshooting
· Instrumentation troubleshooting and diagnosis, set up, and some calibration support
· Travel to customer sights and do electrical wiring, installation, and commissioning of control systems
- Must have knowledge of how PLC, and/or other industrial control systems work to include some minor programming
- Have a good working knowledge of the operation of control circuits, and knowledge and understanding of motor controls.
- Must have a high school education or equivalent.
- 3-5 Years Commercial/Industrial Electrical Experience.
- Qualified to work at up to 600v
