We are seeking an Electrician for our Florence, Arizona, site. An electrician occupies a safety-sensitive position and is responsible for troubleshooting electrical problems, repairing, and overhauling electrical equipment and controls.
· Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and components in an industrial setting.
· Observe safety rules and procedures and meet electrical codes.
· Perform equipment troubleshooting, quality testing, and inspections.
· Make decisions based upon technical documents and electrical knowledge.
· Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks and projects.
· Assist other maintenance and/or operations employees as may be required.
· 3+ years of proven electrical experience in an industrial or process environment. Maintenance experience at SXEW, wellfield, or water treatment facilities is preferred.
· Diagnostic instrumentation certification and/or experience is desirable.
· Associate’s degree in electrical related field highly desirable.
· Journeyman level or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
· Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Internet highly desirable.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time.
· Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment.
· Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes.
· Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
· Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs/ladders, etc.
- This position will include some office work, but some work will be performed in all-weather conditions, both outdoors and in a plant setting.
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must work in compliance with the Florence Copper (OSHA) site safety program.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the plant environment.
