Job Overview
The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for assisting Master and Journeyman Electricians complete work in the field. This position will assist with the installation of wiring, raceways, conduit, lighting, and other electrical components. This position will also assist in procuring necessary job materials and ensuring a high level of organization in the shop, on job sites, and in company vehicles. Working beside experienced tradesmen, this individual will gain valuable real world experience in the electrical field.
Duties
•Assist coworkers to complete assigned tasks on job sites.
•Disassemble defective electrical equipment and make necessary repairs
•Measure, bend, and cut wire and conduit using hand tools.
•Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
•Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to work in all weather conditions in which work can safely be performed on roofs, in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and fields.
•Must be capable of heavy lifting as needed during installation of electrical equipment.
Qualifications:
•High-School Degree or Equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred
•Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
•Schooling or training in the electrical trade preferred but not required.
