Electrical Testing Technician

Shift Hours: Monday -Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Overall Responsibility: Electrical Testing (control and medium voltage)

Key Job Duties:

Adherence to safety protocol regarding PPE and test equipment operation.

Testing and inspection of medium voltage switchgear.

Electrical circuit testing using the following (TTR t, Vt, CPT and Hi pot) test.

Troubleshoot switchgear issues.

Read and decipher prints and schematics wiring diagrams.

Implement a variety of field concept, practices, and procedures.

Report process and product issues.

Documentation of testing results. (high lighting and filling out test reports).

Archiving test reports into database.

Documenting possibly complete job punch list items documented as a result of Testing Tech. findings.

Required Skills and Experience:

Understanding of different voltage classifications and levels (control vs. medium etc.).

Experience using MS Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Excellent time management skills and understanding of urgency of meeting deadlines.

Desired Qualities and Attributes:

Basic ability to operate electrical designing software (CAD, SolidWorks Electrical etc.).

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of engineering drawing guidelines and standards.

2+ years experience in industry.

Associates / Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering technology or related field of study.

Willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
