Equity Solar is seeking for a License Residential Solar Photovoltaic Engineer Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting project teams within engineer plans for Enphase systems, designing integrated PV and battery systems, and they will be responsible for creating the layout and electrical configuration of photovoltaic and energy storage systems. This role will require familiarity with NEC and Florida counties, cities, and municipalities requirement. The ideal candidate will be a team player that is dedicated and detail oriented. This position is a mix of design, communications, planning and coordination, and task execution.
Responsibilities
•Provide signed Plans/Drawings to Permits Specialist on a timely manner.
•Perform audits on new sales Designs Proposals; offered/propose annual Production vs Utility Bill showed usage and Offset.
•Verify Roof conditions and electrical conditions using pictures provided via Site Survey/ Site Assessment and determine if New Roof and/or Main Panel Upgrade (MPU) is need it in order to support the Photovoltaic Solar System.
•Assist, call and email Counties, Cities, Towns and Municipalities new electrical engineer registrations when need it.
•Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control.
•Manage, guide and create a proper secure workflow for all projects.
•Coordinate with Operations Manager and Project Coordinator to accelerate processes and maximize time in projects.
•Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software or any other approved software.
•Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
•Develop standard operations procedures and quality or safety standards for solar installation work.
•Keep the PE License up to date with the State of Florida and with any other State as need it.
•Manage, supervise, be available, provide training and be in charge of all the Equity Solar photovoltaic design drafters personnel.
•Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
•Solar PV job experience with Florida is a plus.
•Outstanding organization, time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
•Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Education
•Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience.
