Solar PV System Designer

Immediate opening!! A fast-growing, locally owned solar installation company is in need of a full-time Assistant Solar Designer. The Assistant Solar Designer will use drafting software, energy analysis software and other information to design residential and commercial solar systems based on the needs of each individual customer and should possess mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations, the ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, and have good organizational skills. The Assistant Solar Designer will report to the Project Development Manager.

Job duties will include the following: Usage Evaluations, True-Up Evaluations, Proposal Design, Design Engineering, Proposal Prep, Drafting, Permitting Revisions, Material Lists, Engineering Adaptations, As-Built Plan Changes, and assisting with System Monitoring.

Knowledge in the following is preferred:

-CAD/Google Sketch-up/Architectural Software.

-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

-The ability to perform mathematical equations.

-Background in Solar is a major plus but not required.

Pay: $50,900.00 - $58,500.00 per year depending on experience
