· Understand and comply with all safety regulations, identify and correct safety hazards, participate in regular safety training, task training, and safety topic meetings, and cooperate with all external inspectors as necessary.
· Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electric and electronic circuits, equipment, controls, and instrumentation as needed.
· Interpret, understanding, and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, sketches, charts, work orders, verbal instructions, and established practices to complete assigned repair jobs solving the repairs effectively.
· Install and modify electrical components and instruments.
· Inspect and service electrical motors, including bearing lubrication and replacement.
· Install power and control wiring including conduit and cable tray.
· Locate, repair, adjust, and calibrate electric and electronic recording, measuring, and indicating instruments with proficiency.
· Perform preventative maintenance on generators, traction motors, and related controls.
· Responsible for housekeeping and cleanup of work areas of assigned tasks.
· Responsible for documentation associated with job duties.
· Minimum three years hands on industrial electrical experience required.
· High school diploma required with specialized/trade-specific training, a plus.
· Successfully pass the electronic technical A test.
· Commitment to maintaining the highest standards for safety, environmental compliance, dependability, and professional workmanship.
· Able to wear MSHA required safety equipment.
· Able to work in and exposed to dust, noise, extreme heat, and all types of weather conditions.
· Proper wear and use of respirator, when required.
· Able to climb steps, ladders, traverse walkways (including catwalks) and work at high elevations.
· Able to safely operate all mobile equipment which may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
· Able to work in confined spaces and in awkward positions which require ability to twist, turn, bend, crouch, stoop, and kneel.
· Have good manual dexterity and be able to lift and handle tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Have good hearing and eyesight, including the ability to distinguish between colors.
· Able to perform PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus.
