We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Electrical & Instrumentation Planner. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL.
Job Responsibilities:
•Assist in the creation of Safe Working Procedures and implement them in the CMMS for routine work.
•Develop Gantt chart’s with adequate information for the execution team.
•Creation of work packages, which would include:
+ Safe Working Procedures / JHA’s
+ Part locations
+ Confined space permits and other permits required.
+ Isolation check lists
+ Timelines
+ Task based hazards and controls identified.
+ RMO tag(s), if applicable
•Ordering of all parts and materials required for the execution of the job.
•Utilizing the CMMS for proper work order coding based on status and priority.
•Review executed work plans for improvement points to better refine the planning process.
•To modify and alter Safe Working Procedures and master data for:
+ Task sequencing
+ Part Criticality (Spares)
+ BOMs (Bill-Of-Material)
+ Materials For Task
+ Hours-To-Execute
•Monitoring and maintaining of backlog within the CMMS.
•Review and uplifting of Work Requests to Work Orders.
•Maintain the annual calendar updated on monthly rolling forecast basis of maintenance activities as part of the annual calendar including:
+ Annual Shutdowns
+ Total and partial plant shutdowns
+ Equipment overhauls
+ Major PM’s – Inspections and overhauls
•To facilitate the weekly schedule review meeting as per the schedule review agenda.
•Creation of weekly schedules to indicate the work planned for the week.
•Generate the planning & scheduling KPIs.
•To participate in continuous improvement activities to improve asset performance and work performance including:
+ Meeting with execution team to review work execution.
+ Meeting with reliability dept and operations department to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Working knowledge of open pit mining operations including maintenance, safety, equipment, and staff utilization.
•Experience with electrical systems up to 13.8KV.
•Previous experience with instrumentation & controls.
•Project management experience with the ability to meet deadlines.
•Demonstrated experience with CMMS software & MS Project is an asset.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
•Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent work ethic, and attendance record.
Education:
•Red Seal Electrician or Electrical / Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technologist
•Electrical Engineering Designation
License:
•Class 5 Driver’s License
