Job Overview:
As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the electrical crew on job sites. You will lead a team of electricians, ensuring that all electrical systems are installed according to project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and manage the electrical crew on job sites, ensuring efficient, timely, and safe completion of electrical installations.
•Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and wiring.
•Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
•Manage and coordinate tasks between electricians, subcontractors, and other project team members.
•Ensure that all work meets local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards (OSHA).
•Enforce and maintain a high standard of safety on the job site, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
•Communicate effectively with the project manager, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and any issues.
•Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to the project schedule.
•Inspect work to ensure that it is performed according to quality standards and project specifications.
•Maintain accurate records of materials, work completed, and project progress.
•Ensure proper inventory management of electrical tools and materials.
•Conduct training and mentorship to junior electricians and team members.
Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
•Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
•Proven experience in leading a team of electricians and managing job site operations.
•Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
•Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and coordinate with team members and project managers.
•Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical issues on-site effectively.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
•OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
•High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certification or journeyman status preferred.
