The Electrical Engineering Technician III supports field electrical maintenance activities and ensures safe electrical isolation procedures (Lock Out Tag Out – LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor systems. This role typically reports to a supervisor or manager and serves as a technical leader, guiding junior staff and handling complex electrical challenges in industrial and commercial environments.
- Support field electrical maintenance work across lighting, HVAC, and motor systems.
- Perform electrical isolation procedures (LOTO) to ensure safety during maintenance operations.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to lower-level staff.
- Guide junior staff in resolving complex electrical problems.
- Assemble, test, and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, control equipment, circuitry, and components per engineering specifications.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive/corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Record data, analyze performance, and recommend modifications or equipment replacement.
- Relevant experience in a closely related electrical maintenance role.
- Certification in electrical disciplines or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication skills to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams without direct authority.
- Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
