The essential job responsibilities of the Electric Distribution Operator 1 are to monitor and control the multiple operations of the electric distribution system by use of the Computer-Aided Dispatch Electric System (CARES); responsible for maximizing system efficiency and minimizing service interruptions; coordinate departmental work with appropriate departments, contractors, customers and other external entities.

Physical Working Conditions:

Works in office under good conditions. Subject to sitting for long periods of time, during storms/outages, eye fatigue, hearing due to radio communications, bending, stooping/crouching to get maps, and light lifting of maps. Shift work required.
