Dredge Operator

Madison County Sand is looking for an experienced Dredge Operator for our sand and gravel production facility located in Collinsville, IL. The primary duty for the dredge operator will be to pump sand from the production area to the plant area. Other tasks may include mechanical repairs and maintenance, electrical work, and other duties as time and skills allow.

Please note that no travel is required for this position. All production takes place at our facility in Collinsville, Illinois.

- Experience operating a dredge required

- The ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn are required traits

- Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality are all required

- Must be motivated and able to work independently

- Good organizational skills and ability to communicate well with others required

- Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions, and can't be afraid of heights or working on water

- Mechanical skills, fabricating ability, or electrical skills are a plus

- Background check, drug test (including cannabis), and fitness for duty test all required before being hired

- Strict adherence to MSHA and site-specific safety rules

- Experience in the mining industry preferred but not required

- Minimum of high school diploma or GED strongly preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
