The Division Order Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate ownership records and ensuring proper setup and management of division orders for Dugan Production Corp. This role verifies ownership interests, prepares division orders, and supports the timely and accurate distribution of revenues to interest owners. The Division Order Analyst works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity of land and ownership records. The Division Order Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the financial accuracy and regulatory compliance of Dugan Production Corp.'s oil and gas operations.
- Maintain accurate ownership records, including updates for title changes, transfers, and assignments.
- Manage AFE notifications, track consent and non-consent responses
- Coordinate with Revenue Accounting on owner payouts and prepare APO and BPO decks
- Prepare and distribute division orders to interest owners in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify ownership documentation to confirm proper revenue distribution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Land, Revenue Accounting, and Legal, to ensure data accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from interest owners regarding ownership and division orders.
- Assist with escheatment processes and unclaimed property compliance.
- Provide support for audits and regulatory reviews, including preparation of necessary documentation.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for ownership data management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth understanding of division order processes, land/title principles, and revenue distribution practices.
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents, title opinions, and regulatory requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in ownership records.
- Effective communication with internal teams and external interest owners.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with land and accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Integrity in handling sensitive ownership and financial data.
- Associate degree in Energy Management, Accounting, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in division order, land administration, or related oil and gas accounting role.
- Familiarity with ownership verification processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with land management or division order software preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
- Office environment with standard working hours.
- Occasional extended hours may be required during month-end close, audits, or project deadlines.
