Our Division Manager will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee operations activities in the Division. The Division Manager ensures development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The Division Manager drives growth of our company by collaborating with the team to find new customers, retain current customers, and develop innovative solutions for bettering our product and service. As Division Manager, you will play the primary Leadership role that is crucial in establishing relationships and marketing our company’s brand in a way that is positive, honest, and professional.
- Continue to grow and develop the Division.
- Identify and hire all personnel needs as required. APS will assist with supplemental help from other branches as needed for temporary basis.· Establish a customer base through old and new contacts within the targeted area and beyond.
- Handle all aspects of managing and maintaining professional divisions for APS from estimating, new hires, administration, invoicing, accounts receivable, quality control, etc.
- Weekly and monthly progress meetings will be conducted for production and financial management accountability and progress.
- Full support will be provided by APS to meet the business development needs of Division Manager.
- Continue to grow and expand the APS Team while keeping the standards set forth.
- Initial job duties would include overseeing the current Division’s crews to mentor and develop a strong team by being hands on. Division Manager is expected to provide ideas and solutions to onsite practices, equipment usage and business operations.
- Analyze contract and subcontract reviews.
- Determine the ‘Go or no-go’ decisions for which projects to approve for bid.· Customer follow ups and maintaining a constant line of communication with customer’s satisfaction of APS’s services provided.
- Division Manager will also oversee the P&L management as it directly relates to the Division.
- Establish financial job management for long term multiple month projects to ensure efficiency and productive accountability on the execution of contracted work.
- Partner with Senior Management for annual budget and goals as it relates to the Division.
- Focus on accurate estimating, review bids prior to bid submission and continue to identify Division’s work opportunities.
- Bring in all new ideas for growth opportunities, including but not limited to Division along with shared resources.
- Focus on managing operations activities and administration of processes, while keeping the standards set forth.
- Assist any other stakeholders (Sales Managers/Project Managers) with bid evaluation and project review for bidding and project planning development.· Communicate and review project/customer specifications, and expectations, with Superintendents.
- Generate material requests as needed to ensure daily operations.
- Help Generate the daily schedule with at least two weeks of advanced planning. Discuss any all schedules, changes, and potential disruptions with the Account Manager. Ensure all necessary information is provided on the schedule and to the crews.
- Ensure documentation is being saved to the proper project folder in the portal.
- Review all project quantities and review invoicing progress with the Project Manager at least seven (7) days prior to month end. Discuss any proposal-invoicing discrepancies with the Project Manager. The Goal is to invoice for work completed within three (3) business days.
- Communicate project plans and schedules with customers as needed, with specific attention to projects involving bypassing and larger MOT setups. This is even more important to communicate when using outside vendors/sub-contractors on the project.
- Assist with tool, supplies and other perishable inventory and ordering.
- Work with Accounts payable to procure water meters as needed.
- Review customer deliverable (video packages) status with the Project Coordinator. Communicate any missing items with the Superintendents on a regular basis, but no less than twice per week. It’s imperative that videos are provided to the customer in a timely fashion (48 hours).
- Ensure the completion report/tracker includes all project information, including notes for punch list items. Follow up with crews to address punch list items in a timely manner. Coordinate with crews and internal/external resources to address punch list items.
- Assist other stakeholders, Outside Sales Manager, and others, with customer retention and development. Assist with establishing a customer base through old and new contacts within the targeted area and beyond.
- Daily and weekly task would consist of, but not limited to, daily schedule updates, job tracking chart completion, quality control of deliverables to clientele, equipment tracking and ordering, material ordering and tracking, etc.
- Continue learning and developing abilities with the internal operating systems utilized by APS and perform said work within the APS shared drive for future development and training purposes.
- Be a sounding board and mentor to any direct reports for the purpose of escalating the training period and ensuring the APS Way is being developed along with adhered to.- 5+ years of Pipe, Construction, or Engineering industry experience - 3+ years of Leadership experience
- High school diploma
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain an organized and professional workspace; highly organized
- Demonstrated skills with working collaboratively with a team and working individually
- Knowledge and proven experience with negotiation and problem solving confidently- 5+ years of Pipe Cleaning, Inspection and Rehab experience
