Division Manager

JM Test Systems is seeking a Division Manager to lead operations at our Mattoon, IL facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily business unit activities, guiding a cross-functional team, and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with our core values of Quality, Safety, and Customer Service.

The Division Manager will provide leadership across administrative, sales, and technical staff, ensuring that goals are met, safety protocols are followed, and customers receive outstanding service. This position reports directly to the COO and collaborates with company executives, managers, and technical teams.

What You’ll Do

- Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

- Provide leadership, direction, and development for administrative, sales, and technical staff.

- Oversee workload distribution, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion.

- Ensure safety training and compliance with JM Test Systems Safety Manual and all regulatory standards.

- Monitor and maintain quality standards, housekeeping, and environmental conditions within the lab.

- Oversee financial performance of the division including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.

- Support and implement company policies, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.

What We’re Looking For

- Education: High School diploma required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (electronics, calibration, measurement science) or military training preferred.

- Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or management role; experience with enterprise software and supplier/customer relationship management.

- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

- Knowledge of calibration/testing laboratory practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

- Ability to analyze financial data, plan strategically, and improve operational efficiency.

- Solid problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs as needed in lab/office settings.
