Your Role: Distribution Engineer

Position Summary

The Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, development, implementation, and analysis of Transmission and Distribution Line Power Systems. The Engineer must ensure that all work is performed to the customer's reasonable expectations in a successful and profitable manner.

Job Duties

- Responsible for engineering, design, development, implementation, analysis, and reporting of power systems and must be able to develop an understanding of project requirements, as assigned. Must be able to work on multiple projects and establish priority among them. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

- Consults with supervisor(s) regarding model accuracy, design, and engineering standards.

- Conducts field visits to project sites as necessary. Collaborates with other project stakeholders to provide engineering input and address any project issues.

- Performs engineering design evaluations or reviews.

- Recommends alterations to development and design, to improve quality of products and/or procedures.

- Helps peers with assigned tasks.

- Builds and presents training material on engineering topics or procedures.

- Performs any other duty or task as assigned from time to time by the Manager, Director, or Vice President of Transmission and Distribution

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in the field or equivalent experience with a utility or engineering firm.

- Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the specialized engineering field.

- Capable of establishing performance and delivery criteria for approval by the Manager of Engineering.
