Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Sales/Business Development Professional to identify and qualify potential customers for our suite of energy solutions. This role combines strategic market research with customer outreach to build a pipeline of opportunities for our engineering and project development teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through door-to-door sales and networking.
- Utilize CRM software, including Salesforce, to manage leads and track sales activities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand their needs.
- Present product offerings effectively, highlighting the benefits of solar energy solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies and enhance outreach efforts.
- Provide technical knowledge about products to assist customers in making informed decisions.
- Lead initiatives to improve sales processes and drive team performance.
- Identify, research, and qualify potential customers for distributed energy and microgrid projects.
- Analyze target markets such as manufacturing, healthcare, data centers, higher education, and commercial facilities.
- Engage prospects through calls, email outreach, and networking to understand their energy challenges and objectives.
- Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to shape solution concepts and proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and opportunity stages in CRM software.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and expand market visibility.
- Support the sales team in developing customer presentations, proposals, and follow-up communications.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in energy or grid scale renewable sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals.
- Familiarity with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Experience in marketing strategies related to sales is a plus.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others.
