Dispatcher
Wooster, OH
Description
Responsible for providing service to customers, sales, and drivers throughout the loading and delivery process, including quick responses to inquiries and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
•
Service wholesale and customer requests and needs while communicating effectively to all parties
•
Setup and manage load board for drivers for optimal routing and efficiency
•
Monitor load process through Fuel Track system and ensure timely delivery of product
•
Monitor inventory levels of Keep Fill customers, Fuel Marts, and freight contracts to avoid retains and run-outs
•
Work with wholesale to determine pull points and driver capacity by region and load demand
•
Provide service for driver and customer questions
•
Book customer orders for Home Heating Oil and Bulk Fuel Deliveries
•
Review and improve logistics processes and procedures
Qualifications
•
Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred
•
Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft and logistics application software
•
Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations, using independent judgement and discretion
•
Ability to work well in teams with staff from all departments
•
Excellent written and oral communication
•
Excellent personal skills and positive attitude
•
Ability to work in high-demand environment; adaptability to change
•
Willing to work some nights and weekend shifts for on call rotation
