The Director of Retail Sales is responsible for defining the strategy to generate demand for Mosaic Biosciences products in North America with retailers and growers, as well as leading the Retail Sales organization in executing the strategy and providing technical sales support to MBNA. - This includes influencing the development of growth and penetration strategies for current Bioscience products at retail partners. The primary purpose of this position is to drive sales in North America of Powercoat, BioPath plus new pipeline innovation by managing the growth creation process. Responsibilities also include coordinating with Commercial Crop Nutrition sales leadership of our strategic plans, aligning with key functional areas, day-to-day coaching on market creation, training, and overall strategy management on all Bioscience products in conjunction with Crop Nutrition products.
Lead and manage the MBNA Retail Sales Managers and Retail Sales Specialists. Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure alignment with business goals. Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer success and sales growth. Support employee development and succession planning.
Coordinate and create alignment between Mosaic agronomy services, research/development, marketing, sales, product line, etc. Increase sales of Mosaic’s Bioscience products including Powercoat and Biopath and maintain Microessential sales to achieve stretch profitability goals and differentiate Mosaic in the market. Provide work direction to the team, as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards. Manage performance issues when necessary. Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent. Support employees in their career development.
Partner with the Director of Global Product Management – Biosciences and the Director of MBNA Sales to execute the annual North American Bioscience product sales and marketing plans. Collaborate with Agronomy, Marketing and other functional areas to determine our “go to market” strategy by NA region and to guide our selective retail strategy to maximize market penetration while stewarding value. Provide field-level insights to support pricing, segmentation, and value delivery decisions led by Product Management.
Evaluate with Director of Global Product Management – Biosciences, Director MBNA Sales, and Commercial leadership pricing and value share, and implement price increases as needed to achieve fair pricing for our products to achieve our sales and financial targets. Assist the Director of Global Product Management – Biosciences with the customer segmentation for Bioscience products in North America based on current market trends.
Strengthen Mosaic’s presence in the North American Biosciences market by building relationships with key retail partners and growers. Organize and participate in promotional and technical events, including trade shows, customer meetings, and training sessions.
Manage Retail Sales budgets to meet performance targets. Oversee forecasting and customer data transfer with the Retailer Sales team to support sales planning. Identify and implement best practices to improve communication and sales enablement to enhance market impact

Mosaic is a pay for performance company. The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000. Total compensation is based on performance and contribution.
