Purpose:
To lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) functions across all phases of EPC projects. This role ensures that all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. This role will drive process improvement, manage a cross-functional quality team, and embed a culture of excellence and accountability throughout H+M Industrial EPC.
Core Job Responsibilities
•Develop and implement the company-wide quality strategy aligned with business goals.
•Lead the QA/QC team across multiple projects and locations.
•Serve as the primary quality liaison with clients, regulatory bodies, and third-party auditors.
•Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of H+M’s QMS.
•Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
•Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to integrate quality into project planning and execution.
•Monitor quality performance metrics and conduct regular audits and inspections.
•Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
•Recruit, train, and mentor QA/QC personnel.
•Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and safety throughout the organization.
•Prepare and present quality performance reports to executive leadership.
•Prepare and manage department budget/forecast
•Key Measurables include: QMS Compliance Score and Overhead Budget/Forecast
Essential Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Welding, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience)
•15+ years of experience in industrial construction, including 5+ years in QA/QC leadership or oversight roles
•Strong, cross-disciplinary understanding of construction crafts, including associated special processes, inspection methods, and testing techniques
•Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across field and office teams
•Familiarity with digital Quality Management methods, tools, and/or platforms.
•Advanced knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ACI, AWS, ASME, API, NEC, and others relevant to industrial EPC projects
•Preferred certifications: AWS CWI, ASNT, NACE, with a commitment to ongoing professional development

Environment:
Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed.
