The Director of Engineering will lead and coordinate engineering and project management functions across Linkan’s portfolio of national and international water treatment initiatives. This role blends deep technical oversight with strong leadership and operational strategy, ensuring that project execution aligns with company goals and client expectations.
This position reports to the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in advancing Linkan’s operational excellence, engineering innovation, and business strategy. You will be responsible for managing multiple teams, supporting project performance, and contributing to financial health and growth initiatives.
Essential duties include:
Strategic Leadership & Operations
•Support the development and implementation of short- and long-term company goals, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
•Guide the company’s technical project delivery while ensuring cross-functional integration and collaboration.
•Oversee day-to-day operations within the engineering and project delivery departments.
•Support succession planning and staff development for critical roles.
•Present operational strategies and performance metrics (KPIs and OKRs) to executives and stakeholders.
Engineering & Project Management
•Provide technical and managerial leadership across all phases of complex water treatment projects—from conceptual design and permitting to commissioning and optimization.
•Ensure quality engineering output including infrastructure design (e.g., pipelines, treatment systems), regulatory compliance, and environmental health and safety.
•Oversee the preparation of project governance documentation (e.g., Project Execution Plans, QA/QC Plans, Risk Management Plans).
•Direct risk assessments and mitigation strategies in design and construction.
•Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and performance variances with support from the Project Management Office.
•Drive the adoption of innovative treatment technologies and continuous improvement practices.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
•Support development of department budgets; analyze financial reports and manage resources to meet project and company objectives.
•Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure the organization’s financial structure and forecasting are sound.
•Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Specific skills and experience are as follows:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
•Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 3 months.
•10+ years of progressive experience in engineering and project management, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
•Demonstrated success managing complex infrastructure, particularly in water treatment for mining or industrial sectors.
•Deep knowledge of water treatment processes, permitting, and environmental regulations.
•Strong experience with financial oversight, risk management, and performance measurement.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
