We are seeking a proven Director of Construction to provide strategic leadership and oversight of multiple capital projects across the oil & gas and renewable natural gas (RNG) sectors. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in pipeline and industrial facility construction, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
· Provide leadership and direction for all construction activities across multiple capital projects.
· Oversee the full project life cycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and close-out.
· Drive construction excellence through implementation of best practices in safety, quality, and cost management.
· Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, CSA, PHMSA, DOT).
· Manage and support project managers and field leadership in the execution of 2–3 concurrent projects.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering teams, contractors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
· Serve as the primary point of accountability for construction performance and progress reporting to senior leadership.
· Conduct regular site visits and audits to monitor safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
· Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and accountability.
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum 10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
· Extensive experience in pipeline construction, including installation methods, welding practices, hydrotesting, tie-ins, and regulatory compliance.
· Proven ability to successfully deliver large, complex, multi-million-dollar capital projects in oil & gas or RNG.
· Strong knowledge of construction best practices, cost controls, scheduling systems, and risk management strategies.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
· Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
