Job Summary:
EDG DIGITAL is looking for Digital Professionals to support exciting projects in oil and gas, chemicals, renewables, power and manufacturing markets. The candidate will support project delivery with a focus on digital systems, solutions and consulting studies across the portfolio of EDG services. With mentors spanning industries and control platforms, EDG DIGITAL provides an environment to pursue and develop your technical skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Supports consulting activities with clients to deliver study outcomes under guidance of experienced digital leaders
•Delivers technical outcomes as part of projects with a focus on technically sound solutions and pragmatic problem solving
•Work closely with others in a team but also autonomously deliver small scope aspects with minimal direction.
•Utilize analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills for client projects and to drive team performance.
•Support projects including gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client teams with subsequent implementation
•Support clients in digital change management including solution development, deployment and maintenance
•Support internal technical initiatives and development of solutions across the EDG portfolio
•Participate in thought leadership articles and development of relevant insights
•Support client interaction on project and technical matters where appropriate
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
•Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline;
•Zero (0) to One (1) years of experience in asset intensive industries;
•Technical hands‐on knowledge of related engineering systems, engineering calculations, application of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computer software;
•Broad understanding of engineering and operational requirements of industries and desire to gain knowledge of consulting, change management, supply chain, and project economics;
•Desire to learn technical operational systems, data connectivity solutions and enterprise architecture
•Experience with digital system framing, development, configuration and deployment including use case development and prioritization, roadmap construction and business case development
•Sound knowledge of digital tools and techniques including database management, machine learning and data science
•Skill in oral and written communication;
•Strong organizational skills related to engineering activities.
Working Conditions:
•Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations;
•Field duties require outdoor work in a construction site or in plant type atmosphere;
•Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
•Working on a construction site or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
•Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
•May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
•May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
