About This Job

Primary Purpose:

The Digital LNG Operations Specialist leverages advanced digital technologies to optimize the processing, transportation, storage, and distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This role is at the forefront of digital transformation in the oil and gas industry, aiming to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve decision-making, and foster innovation. Analyzing, evaluating, developing, testing, and implementation of computer software solutions. Work with vendors and manage service companies to deliver solutions within scope, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities:

•

Support daily operations and ensure data quality on various systems.

•

Utilizes digital tools to streamline LNG plant processes, optimize production, and manage resources efficiently.

•

Integrates technologies like IoT, AI, big data analytics, and cloud computing into LNG operations.

•

Leverages digital tools to forecast potential equipment failures, improving asset reliability and reducing downtime.

•

Analyzes and interprets datasets to identify trends, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.

•

Help design, develop and test integration with other applications in support of Business systems

•

Analyze new requirements and identify solution alternatives and define detailed reporting system modifications.

•

Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.

•

Partners with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions.

•

Participates in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.

•

Consult with management, users and Vendors to support and implement business solutions

•

Responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining reporting systems in SQL, Access, Excel and other reporting services

•

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

•

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field is preferred.

Experience:

•

3-5 years of IT or Business Systems reporting or support.

•

3-5 years of experience with different database systems including SQL Server

•

Experience with analyzing and interpreting complex dataset

•

Experience as an administrator or technical support for systems within an enterprise environment.

•

3-5 years’ experience with organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

•

Oil and Gas Systems experience a plus

•

Experience with Cloud environments and hosted services preferred.

•

Experience with generating and maintaining reports at different levels of an organization

•

Experience with data historian software, 3D modeling software, CMMS, and document control/change management software is a plus.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:

•

Strong analytical and system design skills.

•

Maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a fast moving, highly motivated startup.

•

Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

•

Strong communication skills, including effective presentation skills.

•

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is also expected.

•

Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external counterparts and to work harmoniously in a multicultural/multidisciplinary environment.
