Operating across the central US, EDS tackles everything from small, developmental utility blasting to drilling in some of the largest quarries in the country.

Being a diesel mechanic at Ed's Drilling & Blasting Co. will involve inspecting, diagnosing problems, and servicing the company's equipment and vehicles. Work will be primarily focused on the maintenance of our fleet of heavy trucks, but it could also include work on our fleet of surface rock drills and pickup trucks. Although helpful, no experience is needed with the specific equipment we run.

This position will involve working out of our shop in Washington, MO. Daily commuting to the shop is required. You must be open to travelling to our jobsites. Overnight stay is possible.

Pay starts from $22/hr, but it is dependent on experience level.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnosing and servicing hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.

- Routinely inspecting vehicles and equipment for problems and compliance.

- Fabricating parts with welding equipment.

- Operating vehicles and equipment for testing purposes.

- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

- Communicating with dealers and service departments.

Requirements:

- Minimum Class B CDL w/ airbrakes endorsement (Highly recommended)

- Must be open to overnight travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Experience:

- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Washington, MO 63090: Relocate before starting work (Required)
