Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar and other heavy machinery.

- Conduct maintenance on various types of heavy equipment.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.

- Troubleshoot issues related to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components.

- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and assembly work.

- Read and interpret schematics to understand complex mechanical systems.

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance.

- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge is essential.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
