Diesel Fleet Mechanic

About Us: At GasTec, we are a well-established, locally owned propane supplier with a vehicle fleet we actively work to keep in top shape.

Position Overview: We are seeking an individual with fleet maintence and repair experience. Our fleet consists of heavy diesel and mid-weight gasoline vehicles.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): General maintence on vehicles, both repair and preventitive. This would include general engine and vehicle issues, and also repairs specific to our propane delivery vehicles.

Follow repair procedures and safety guidelines to ensure all work meets industry and code standards.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with shop maintenance.

Communicate effectively with employees regarding repair needs and status updates.

Collaborate with team members and be willing to learn new skills and techniques.

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair various vehicle systems.

Familiarity with general vehicle maintenance, including engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, and suspension is all a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).

Tools are a plus, but not required.
