This position is based in Austin, TX (Onsite) and reports to the U.S Managing Director of the company.
Ashtrom Renewable Energy operates as an independent power producer (IPP) and specializes in developing, financing, constructing, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager
to lead and coordinate the development efforts of our Renewable Energy and BESS projects in the U.S.
You will lead diligence efforts across technical, environmental, permitting, financial and regulatory work streams, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects from development, financing, construction and operations. This is a key role to build our development activities and supporting the growth plans of the company to build a more sustainable energy future.
- Project Development: Lead and manage development of complex utility-scale renewable energy and BESS projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate between external and internal stakeholders, including landowners, public utilities, regulatory entities and legal, technical, environmental, regulatory and financial consultants.
- Project Management: Responsibility over project deliverables, tasks, budgets and schedule, and risk management.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development or business development of utility-scale Energy or BESS projects.
- Previous experience in a project finance environment.
- Demonstrated experience with permitting process, environmental studies and requirements, land lease management, interconnection requirements and processes, and other activities and work streams required for renewable energy projects.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to translate multidimensional processes into actionable steps.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Law, or Economics.
