ECF Engineering Consultants is a full-service engineering firm specializing in providing technical solutions to the Energy Markets, both public and private sectors, requiring electrical and mechanical engineering support.
We serve those entities on an array of projects, offering consultation on technology utilization, design solutions for electrical and mechanical systems, public health systems, and equipment procurement and construction phase services.
Description of Position:
To perform design work, including preparing drawings, specifications, and estimates for review and approval by the responsible engineer. Shall act as design leader on projects of simple complexity.
Essential Functions of Position:
1. Shall have a working knowledge of the practices and procedures about technical matters in one (1) or more of the following areas:
•Instrumentation and Control
2. Shall perform with supervision, a variety of design-related duties, including, but not limited to, the following:
•Prepare manual or computer-assisted design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors.
•Perform design services requiring understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and Company standards covering the assigned work.
•Support in preparing cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
•Assist in preparing engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and designs for electrical substations (low, medium, and high voltage) and substation systems to support engineers.
•Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
•As required, provide on-site support for field data gathering to accomplish the design or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance.
•Working knowledge of various drawings/documentation management platforms.
•Expected to perform most design responsibilities without assistance on simple to moderately complex projects, and may work independently but with some engineering guidance on complex projects
•Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & MicroStation
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•Maintains a working knowledge of project standards, systems, document control, department, and company policies and procedures
•Ensures that deliverables are accurate and compliant by developing an understanding of the Quality Program and project standard
3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:
•Associate degree in a related field is desired.
•2 or more years of experience in the engineering of related projects.
•Experience with system design software, CADD, and Microsoft Office products required.
•Willingness to travel for site surveys, project scope walks, and meetings
