The Designer II is responsible for providing support and maintenance of current product design and documentation. The position reviews bom’s, designs, components and subsystems and collaborates with engineers to create models, drawings, sub-assemblies and specifications in support of assigned design work. The Designer II participates in the product definition from scope of work to detailed specification, in DFMEA activities and performs analysis, tolerance stacks, basic stress and strain as well as fit and form checks of components to ensure proper function and appropriate definition is provided.
The Designer II reports to an Engineering Supervisor and/or Manager and requires moderate supervision.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel
