Designer / Detailer

Duvinage is seeking an innovative, full-time Designer / Detailer to create 2-D and 3-D drawings of custom metal stairs and railings for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. This position is part of a collaborative effort that involves interfacing with customers to provide designs that meet their requirements and producing details for fabrication.

Responsibilities

1) Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, site information, and other input to determine the best design solution;

2) Understand and visualize overall stair requirements and translate concepts to design drawings;

3) Design custom stair solutions based on customer requirements and Duvinage design standards, creating detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and/or Tekla;

4) Communicate with architects/builders/owners and Estimating Team to understand project details, provide designs, and revise as needed.

6) Obtain customer approval and release drawings and piece details to the shop for fabrication of approved designs;

7) Provide fabrication drawings, details, and erection drawings for installers; and

8) Interface with the shop to facilitate fabrication and communicate with installers to address any installation questions.
