As Centrus Energy’s Deputy Radiation Protection Manager, you’ll help develop, manage, and improve a world-class radiation protection program. Acting as the RPM when needed, you’ll ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, oversee radiation dose tracking, implement advanced software systems, and advise teams on best practices. This role blends technical depth, problem-solving, and leadership — all in support of keeping people, equipment, and the environment safe.
Step into the spotlight as Acting RPM when called upon, lead the dosimetry program, and make critical dose determination decisions. You’ll review projects for radiological safety, recommend protective controls, and direct health physics staff. From implementing cutting-edge radiation protection software to auditing compliance, calibrating instruments, and refining procedures, your work will set the standard for safety. You’ll also help shape program improvements and mentor teams to ensure every project meets — or exceeds — regulatory and safety expectations.
We’d Love to Hear From People With:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with strong mathematical skills. - 10+ years of Health Physics experience. - 5+ years of Health Physics experience in the uranium processing industry. - 5+ years managing personnel and Radiation Protection program elements.
The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.
- A Master’s degree with emphasis in Health Physics or Radiation Safety.
- Certification by the ABHP, ABR, or ABMP.
- Registration by the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists.
- Expertise in radiation protection software systems, dosimetry programs, and compliance strategies.
- An active “Q” clearance

This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
