- Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
- Lead the bakery team in delivering outstanding Co-op experiences through high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service.
- Support and supervise daily operations, including food preparation, receiving, inventory, and merchandising.
- Motivate and engage team members to ensure a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment.
- Monitor and meet department goals related to sales, margin, and shrink through efficient planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Food Safety regulations, sanitation standards, and temperature log requirements.
- Promote and model safe food handling practices and workplace cleanliness.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance management to team members while supporting their development and growth.
- Lead annual planning, goal setting, budgeting, and talent management processes.
- Oversee administrative duties and scheduling to maintain operational efficiency.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Demonstrate behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen North Corridor Co-op’s vision, mission, and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We need you to lead outstanding Co-op experiences.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in bakery or retail management, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. While three or more years is preferred, we’re open to interviewing candidates with less experience—provided they have relevant Bakery or Food Management experience, which is essential.
- Red Seal Baker certification is considered a strong asset. While not required, candidates with this designation will be given strong consideration.
- You’re a proven leader who builds engaged, motivated teams in a dynamic, multigenerational environment.
- You’re organized, results-oriented, and focused on achieving operational goals.
- You’re familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and digital file management.
- You demonstrate honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic in everything you do communities we serve.
