Job Overview
This is a nine (9) month position with subsequent summer contracts. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: maintaining food service health and safety standards, supervising restaurant operations, managing budgets, ordering supplies and equipment, training part-time faculty, recruiting students and promoting the program, participating in community events, as well as developing course and teaching schedules.
Fulfill other responsibilities and duties as a curriculum faculty member and full-time employee, to include but not limited to other duties as assigned.
Working schedule: Monday - Friday with a minimum of thirty (30) contact/office hours per week. Note: Working days and working hours may vary, based upon institutional need or programmatic requirements.
Salary: $4,858.00 with final salary determination based on education and experience.
Closing Date: May 26, 2025, or open until filled.
Associate degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the food service industry, excellent knife skills, effective communication skills, and an excellent knowledge of the culinary arts, required. Teaching experience with lesson plan writing, instructional menu development, and familiarity with budget creation and purchasing, preferred. Prior experience supervising restaurant operations or chef experience, preferred.
